2 Hour Timer
Two hours, counted down to the second. For the jobs that are too long to keep an eye on.
No signup. Works in any browser. A clear sound when time is up.
Parking
Plenty of car parks and streets have a two hour limit. Start the timer when you park and you can see at a glance how long is left. Leave time to walk back. On a phone the countdown is still right when you unlock it, but the sound may not play while the screen is locked, so check it.
Long exams
Plenty of exam papers are around two hours. Sitting a past paper against a two hour timer, with no pauses, is the closest thing to the real exam.
Slow cooking and films
Two hours suits a stew or a large joint on a low heat, with a check halfway through. It is also about the length of a film, if you want to know when to start dinner.
How the timer works
- Press Start and it counts down. Change the hours, minutes or seconds first if you need a different length.
- It works from your device clock, so it stays right in a background tab, and the time left shows in the tab title.
- Pick an end sound (chime, bell, beep, gentle or silent). The full screen button puts the timer alone on the screen.
- Keeps working offline once the page has loaded. No account, nothing to install.
Frequently asked questions
Can I set longer than two hours?
Yes. Change the hours box before you press Start. It goes up to 23 hours 59 minutes.
Will it keep time if I close the laptop?
A closed laptop sleeps and runs nothing. When you open it again the timer shows the correct time left, but the sound cannot play while it is asleep.
Can I check the time left from another tab?
Yes. While it runs, the minutes and seconds left show in the browser tab title.
Is it free?
Yes, with no signup.
