What you can type
Write it the way you would say it. For example:

What it does and does not do
It sets and starts the countdown timer on this page, up to 23 hours 59 minutes. It answers questions about the current time in other places and the difference between two places: those times are looked up on our server from the time zone database, not guessed by the AI. It also gives short tips on focus and breaks.
It does not run the stopwatch, set an alarm for a time of day (use the alarm clock for that), or run more than one timer at once. It forgets the conversation when you close or reload the page.
Like any AI, it can misread a request. Check the time on the timer after it starts. You can always set the timer yourself by typing in the digits.
What happens to what you type
Your messages go to our server and on to an AI model provider, which writes the reply. The provider does not receive your IP address from us. There is no account, and nothing you type is saved in your browser. The privacy policy has the details.
How the timer works
- Press Start and it counts down. Change the hours, minutes or seconds first if you need a different length.
- It works from your device clock, so it stays right in a background tab, and the time left shows in the tab title.
- Pick an end sound (chime, bell, beep, gentle or silent). The full screen button puts the timer alone on the screen.
- Keeps working offline once the page has loaded. No account, nothing to install.
Frequently asked questions
Is the AI timer free?
Yes. It is free to use and needs no signup.
Do I have to use the assistant?
No. The timer works on its own: click the digits, type a time and press Start, or tap a preset.
Can it set an alarm for 7am?
No. It sets countdown timers. For a time of day, use the alarm clock page.
How accurate is the timer?
It works from your device clock, so it stays right to the second, even in a background tab. The time left shows in the tab title.
Is the assistant on other pages?
Yes. On the homepage, open it with the Assistant button in the corner.
