A live countdown to the start of Christmas Day, 25 December, where you are.
Uses your own time zone. Full screen for a TV or board. No signup.
Until Christmas Day
When is Christmas Day?
The next Christmas Day is Friday, 25 December 2026. The one after that is Saturday, 25 December 2027.
How the countdown works
It counts to midnight at the start of 25 December on your device's clock. In London that is midnight London time, in Sydney it is midnight Sydney time, and so on. You do not need to pick a time zone.
The numbers are worked out from your clock every second, so they stay right if you leave the tab open for days. If your device's clock is wrong, the countdown will be wrong by the same amount.
On Christmas Day itself it says so. From 26 December it starts counting down to next year.
Ways to use it
- At home in December: open it with the advent calendar each morning and watch the days come down.
- On the classroom board: press Full screen and the numbers fill the board, big enough to read from the back of the room. For timed activities in the same lesson, use the classroom timer.
- At work: put it on a spare screen in the run-up to the office party or the last day before the break.
